Wintertime give us a different vision of mountains.
The white canvas that covers the Pyrenees in winter configure a landscape absolutely different to the one that we know in summertime. Mountains become a new playground where activities take a different aspect, harder but maybe more satisfactory.
We are offering you the possibility of enjoying Carros de Foc in winter, skiing ot snowshoeing and always with the support of a professional mountain guide.

If you have alrady done Carros de Foc in summer, you will discover a new dimension of the trail. If you haven’t done it, you will experience mountains in full intensity in a unic environment.
Winter mountain’s features implies that we offer you the activity always with the support of a professional mountain guide and in Open category.

Periode:

You can do it during the winter aperture period of mountain huts (*).

Rules:

# Carros de Foc recommend using professional mountain guides if you don’t have the necessary experience. A mountain guide is mandatory to do Carros de Foc in winter.

# Groups for Carros de Foc in winter will be maximun 6 people per guide.

# Having a mountain insurance is mandatory for Carros de Foc in winter.

# People doing Carros de Foc in winter will always follow mountain guide advices. The guide can change the itinerary or suspend it if necessary at his own judgement. The non acomplishment of this point, implies the automatic cancellation of the activity.

# Carros de Foc is a strenuous activity, mainly in winter. Having done the trail in summer, doesn’t guarantee winter activity.

# Mountaineers doing Carros de Foc in winter will need the right gear for the season.
Mandatory gear (*):

- Mountain skis or snowshoes
- Sticks
- Ice-axe
- Crampons
- Avalanche device
- Shovel
- Winter mountain clothes

(*) This is not a full list of necessary gear. Is possible to hire some of this gear.

Reglament:

Rules will be tha same as in summer, with some considerations about winter:

#We will always stars from Vall d’Aran. Th meeting with the guide will be in Vielha’s Marmot shop, located on Passeig de la Llibertat n.14 de Viella.
# The first mountain hut could be anyone between the accesibles from Vall d’Aran (Saboredo, Colomers, Restanca).
# In closed mountain huts the guide will sign the forfai.
# Groups with skis and snowshoes will not be mixed. (Only on demand).
